Hi Guys,
I have been a slacker with writing on my blog. I've been busy with It Works and just enjoying the summer. I LOVE LOVE the summer! I am taking in every day and really spending time with my 5 year old daughter who is my greatest love. I am getting ready to wrap myself tonight which I havent done in a few months. I have gotten off track, but my body is craving the way the wraps make me feel.

Whoa, Where Did April Go?

This month has just flown by. I have been so busy personally and professionally! It Works is keeping me busy and it's paying off. I keep being persistent and dont let those pesky little excuses creep in and guess what things happen! I know this product works because I see it happen day after day. I had a customer make a post a few weeks ago on my personal facebook page that she lost 5 inches, 13 pounds and 2 dresses sizes in about 3 weeks. She wrapped and also cleaned up her eating and got these great results. She is very happy because she is going to be in a wedding and we all know how that is. I have been busy this month with It Works promo. Last week, I did a party at a nail salon and wrapped 11 people. The owner became a distributor and several ladies became customers. I already started by wrapping and taking my supplements, but I really want to lose 10 lbs this year. 2010 is about being the best I can be. Chicago Expo

We had a great time at the launch party on Thursday night. A new distributor had 8 people and everyone lost inches. The weekend was very busy at the expo. We wrapped over 25 people with a total inch loss of 72 inches. We would wrap the ladies stomach behind our booth and send them out to finish their shopping. They would come back to see how many inches they lost. I think the numbers are actually higher, but at one point we were so busy I think some inches were not documented. All in all it was a good time. I really enjoyed spending time with Melody and meeting Suzie and Cathie. I have about 20 ladies to follow up with over the next week.

Reflection

This past week a dear friend of mine lost her 16 year old son and I won't go into the details because it doesn't matter how. I have thought about nothing else since this happened. We can get sucked into things that we have no control of and it can take over your every waking moment. What if this and what if that. During that time, I didn't care much about anything except knowing I am very lucky to have a happy and healthy family. I want to stop and smell the roses. I want to watch my little girl's every expression as she tells me a story. I want to drown in her smell and not breathe, so I can hear every detail of her laugh! Memorize every line on her face as she sleeps and hold her close when she is sad.

We have no control of how long we are here on this earth, so we must take every opportunity to enjoy it. Why does tragedy have to make us stop and reflect? We get so busy and seem to go through the motions and before we know it life passes up by. So let's try to slow down and tell those we cherish we love them or just give them a hug or pat. Call someone you have been thinking about for months or heck maybe years! When we start to complain or bitch about silly things take a minute to reflect; is it really worth it?

September is almost over! Man, what an great month with 4 new distributors who are going to be awesome. I am so excited to watch my team grow and love to do what I can to help them succeed. I believe it is very important to be part of a good team and have support from your up-line. I am very lucky to have an awesome up-line who happens to be at the top. No matter how busy she may be she is always available. I feel part of her success is because she is such a giving person and wants her downline to be successful and will go out of her way to help others. She creates a pay it forward type atmosphere, therefore, I will do the same for my downline. For those that want my help, I will bend over backwards to help them. Sometimes it's hard when you do have individuals that don't work the business and then wonder why they are not successful. This business takes time, but if you are talking to people you will succeed. Persistence is key. You get what you put into it! Each month your check should grow. What if it isnt? Well, take an honest look in the mirror and ask yourself- am I really working and talking to people or am I doing it randomly? Sometimes we need a good kick in the pants. We all have been there. Be honest and don't place the blame on the company or others which drives me nuts and is a whole other post-lol! So, if you are looking for a unique product, great company with a well thought out comp plan, a team that will support you- give me a shout! I can't wait to see what October has in store for me and my fabulous team!

Grandma

Normally, I blog about my business, but I wanted to talk about my 86 year old grandma. She was hurt on Friday when her car jumped out of gear and the car door struck her causing a broken hip and wrist. This past weekend has been a roller coaster ride with her health. Things started to going down hill when she was in surgery on Saturday and her vitals dropped and they pulled her out of surgery. They gave her 24 hours to live. They said her heart was weak and she did have a cardiac arrest, but CPR brought her back. Unfortunately, they broke a rib during that process. Miraculously, after that she was better. She got to see and talk to family and it was great. She had to have the surgery, so on Monday they tried again and she made it with flying colors. Everyone including the doctors were thrilled. Tuesday she got up with walker and did great during her therapy session. During the night, she became very tired and as of today they are telling us she has a swollen heart and a blood clot in her arm. I am not ready for her to leave us this way. She is such a strong lady and if anyone can beat it she can. I have seen her prove them wrong all weekend. We all got a second chance with her and as selfish as this may be, I am not ready to let that go. Not after everything she went through this weekend and then to leave us now. I am putting it out to the universe that she will prove them wrong and she will be moved to the fifth floor to resume her therapy, so she can go home.

This month is turning out to be quite a busy month. Two new distributors who are awesome and many inquires about the ultimate applicator! I am filling up my Oct. with an expo in Chicago with Melody, a Wrap & Lose party and a few local events. I am creating a team site to assist with time optimization and keeping everything in one central location. Personally, I am healthier than I have ever been. I am down 6 inches on my stomach and overall 5 lbs. I will be incorporating our new weight loss product which will be ready in a few weeks. If you are wanting something to jump start your weight loss than considering trying out a wrap. You can get a single Ultimate Applicator on my website for $29. However, the best option is still four for $49. If you are needing extra income do yourself a favor and stop looking. I am truly happy I have found It Works! And the pay plans are weak. You have to sell a lot of retail to build any income. I always thought of direct sales as a way to make extra income. But, with It Works, I know I can make this a full time income and it won't take me years! There are a lot of ladies who are working this business and making a full time income and guess what it's not just a few at the top like in most companies. There were over 500 people in attendance. The first night started out with a live webcast which you can view at my website. There was laughter, tears and new friendships. I met several ladies that made me laugh and I wish they lived closer.

Taking Care of Myself

Haven't updated in a while. Just been spending a lot of time with my family last few weeks. My husband is a school teacher, so we taking advantage of the final days of summer!

We went on an overnight trip to a nearby city that has an one of the largest indoor water slide parks. We took Taylor's cousin (on left) to play with Taylor, so Glenn and I could get some face time. Didnt quite workout that way-LOL. This past weekend was the big Strassenfest that pulls in 1,000's of people for 4 days and finished it up with a parade!

Also, I have been focused on myself. I notice when I wrap I feel better and have more energy. I started riding a bike which I haven't done- gosh, maybe 15 years! I feel this is because of the products I am using. I am motivated! I think about what I am putting in my mouth. If I know it's going to make me feel like crap, I will pass because nothing is worth feeling that way for the rest of the day. I am sure you can understand that feeling. I am so motivated and want to keep looking better, so I going to try to start running! Now, I have never been able to do this, so this is a tall order, but why not try it right! What do I have to lose? I may need to get some new shoes and possible a new bra LOL! Anyway, I am on a course and I see success at the top. Wanna join me?

I wanted to cover this information since we are getting a lot of people wrapping, but unfortunately, sometimes they dont get the follow up I think is necessary. I make sure all of my customers have the knowledge they need to make an informed decision and all the instructions, etc. So below are the 3 things to expect document.

You’ll lose inches!
• The Ultimate Body Applicator is successful for the majority of users
90-95% get results with the first application.
• The Applicator should not be compared to or confused with diuretic

My father has been experiencing a disturbing rash since 3/09. He has been to doctors,ER,allergist,dermatologist who can't make it go away. You could feel the energy in the room. I feel so lucky to be on this path. I feel like I have to tell everyone! I wrapped my arms and lost 1/2" on each arm. The skin texture looks a lot better as well.

I made the Fast Track Bonus which is the first time I have ever made any type of fast track! The crazy thing is I didnt really work that hard at it. It all kind of just fell in to place for me. Just open your mouth and speak about the product and everything just happens!!

This was the most exciting party I have been a part of. The hootin and hollerin was awesome. Five ladies attended and each one lost over 3" on stomach!
They were thrilled. A few of the ladies had tried the water wraps where the entire body is wrapped and then you must work out for an hour. They loved this process and liked they could target the area for the inch loss. This is not water loss. It Stimulates Lipolysis: (the breakdown of fat stored in fat cells which enables free fatty acids to be released into the bloodstream and circulate out of the body)

Increase Lymphatic Drainage: (movement of lymph flow through the system which allows toxins and waste stored in fat cells to properly exit)

The fact they can do this in the privacy of their own home was a bonus. Everyone ordered more product and one lady became a distributor.

So, after 4 wraps I have lost 5 inches and 2 pounds. I have not changed my diet except the recommended water during the 72 hours after each wrap. I ordered the Greens product to help with detox and give me energy. Just add to water which helps change it up a bit. My step-mom lost 2 inches and 2 pounds with first wrap and has orderd 4 more wraps.

I will be hosting a wrap party this weekend. Melody will be driving down from Nashville to help with party.

I wrapped last night with 2 3/4 inch loss. So, in 2 weeks that has me close to 6 inches. I will measure again in 3 days to see total loss and if any inches come back. I will be drinking the required water and will try to improve my food intake.
I can say I feel better after the wraps and it makes me want to eat better. I will add It Works Green supplement to help with detox and better health.

I received the wrap and lost 3 inches from abdomen! Holy cow, it worked. So, I headed off to Nashville. The meeting was informative and the testimonials were inspirational. I was the only one in the room that was not a distributor. I wanted to check out this company and found it is the real deal. Remember, I was very skeptical even with the inch loss, but after spending a day with this company and distributors, I realized I wanted to be part of this business. I signed up on 5/18/09 and will receive my kit today and will host my launch party 5/31/09. Melody will be driving close to 4 hours to help with this launch. This demonstrates how much she wants her team to succeed. I didnt expect her to do this, but I am grateful. I will be wrapping again tonight.

Not again! I ran across a company and believe me it was an accident. I had no intentions of looking at another direct marketing company. But, my clicker kept clicking and before I knew it I was smitten. The company is called It Works Marketing which deals with body wraps. Yeah, I know what your are thinking " it must be a scam" right. Lose inches in 45 minutes- whatever. But, I kept reading and reading and trying to find something negative about this company and product. I researched wraps and found out there are two different kinds. One deals with losing water and the other deals with losing fat. Wraps dealing with fat loss have natural ingredients that penetrate the fat cells and help pull out toxins. The result last anywhere from 2 to 6 months. The more I researched; the more excited I became. Part of me was saying- no Kelly, don't get pulled in while the other part of my brain was saying- go for it!

I decided to seek out someone who was close to my area. Maybe, I could try the product and this would give me the needed proof. I couldn't find this information as the company doesn't have a state consultant locator. Oh well. I went to the company site and found some consultant testimonies. One of the consultants was in TN which is about 3 hours away. So, I tracked her down on the internet and sent her an email. Two days later we spoke for about 50 minutes via telephone. She is very very successful with It Works Marketing. She was not new to direct marketing when she found this company 3 years ago. I am shocked on how successful she has become, but she is the real deal. She shared It Works Marketing was hosting a boot camp in Nashville in 2 weeks and I should attend. At first, I said, no, I just want to try the product. After our discussion, I was really excited, but part of me was holding it back. Twenty four hours later, I was seriously considering heading to Nashville. The deciding factor will be after I receive and try this wrap. Stay tuned.

Have you ever asked yourself, "is it possible to make money outside the traditional 9-5"? Have you joined direct marketing companies with great hopes and expectations to only realize the money isn't what you thought it would be? I'm not saying it's not possible. If you have any experience with direct marketing; some people are doing well and it is possible to make money. I know it takes work and you have to put yourself out there. The product won't sell itself sitting in the corner while you spend all your time reading about other people. Once you get the basics you must go for it. I have tried a total of four direct marketing companies with limited success. What do I mean? The first was a makeup company which I lost money. I realized I didn't like putting makeup on women. It was not my passion. The second was a health and wellness company which is a great company with great products. I made enough to get my money back to purchase for personal use. I still use their products, but I didnt like the commission structure. My third attempt was a company that deals with vinyl expressions. Again, a traditional home party structure with hostess benefits was the best way to explain this product. I started off decent and was able to put profit back into business without using my personal money. However, I wanted something that I could sell without being tied to home parties. While working this business, I found a wickless candle company called Scentsy which is great. I can show product without worrying about a traditional home party. A basket parties gives customers the ability to take product samples home to share with family and friends while receiving hostess benefits. In addition, I can display Scentsy in establishments to get the word out. I have been working this business part-time and at this point, feel I am doing better than previous attempts. I have 3 people on my team which is a first.
